DAY 13 - FAITHfully YOURS!

Psalm 37:28

For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake his FAITHful ones.

Hebrews 3:14

For if we are FAITHful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

Attached is a wonderful song by Chris Tomlin titled "Faithful".  As the lyrics state, our God is faithful!  No matter what.  He is faithful!  I've heard it put this way...The Secret To Faith-living:  To live looking at God's character; not God's conduct.  Or...Trust His heart, not His hands.

Heavenly Father,

Glory!  All I can think of this morning is to just shout "Glory!".  I shout because I am reminded that You ARE faithful!  You ARE worthy of all praise!  So, I shout "Glory!".

Father, I give You this song of praise that was laid on my heart today.  Though I'm the one typing, the words come from You.

You have been faithful to provide all our needs.  You have been faithful to give us our strength.  You have been faithful in everything.  So we will be FAITHfully Yours!

You have given the breaths that we take.  You have given Your son for our sake.

You have been faithful in everything.  So we will be FAITHfully Yours!

FAITHfully Yours, FAITHfully Yours. Souls emptied into Your hands.

We will be FAITHfully Yours.

In Your word YOU SAID You will not forsake Your faithful ones.  Father, we have been faithful.  I know there is so much more we can do...please show us, show Briley's doctors, show the nurses, show Josh and Crystal, and even show big brother, Jude. 

In Your word YOU SAID if we are faithful to the very end that we can have access to ALL that belongs to You.  So Father, since we have been faithful would You PLEASE give Briley the breaths that she needs RIGHT NOW!  Please give her strength and the the ability to to breathe deeply on her own!  HEALING belongs to You so, we ask You cover Briley in Your healing power!

DAY 12 - Painful Pursuit

One thing my grandson, Jude, loves to do is for me to pick him up and run chasing mommy and daddy.  He screams with excitement, "Go faster Granna!" 

I'm thinking, "I hope I don't mess up my get-a-long!"  But, I continue to run, praying my knees don't give out or that I'll need Bengay when we're done!  I continue to go as fast as my old body will let me because I get to hear the laughter and excitement in Jude's voice.  I get to see him smile.  In a painful pursuit I find joy.

Psalm 118:13-14

I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the Lord helped me.  The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.

2 Corinthians 4:7-9

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.  We are afflicted in every way, but NOT CRUSHED; perplexed, but NOT DRIVEN TO DESPAIR; persecuted, but NOT FORSAKEN; struck down, but NOT DESTROYED…”

Heavenly Father,

Oh the blood, the precious blood that covers all my sin.  I come to You in repentance.  I praise You for forgiveness.

You are holy.  You are almighty.  You are full of glory, mercy and grace.  Father, we want ALL of You!  Even in the pain.

As we have pursued You, as we have followed hard after You, it has been painful.  Sometimes we wonder if there are anymore prayers to pray, anymore tears to cry, anymore falling down... 

And then...we praise
and then...we believe
and then...we stand
and then...we give thanks
and then...we say no to fear
and then...we sing
and then...we testify
and then...we receive
and then...we look for a suddenly
and then...we reflect on Your goodness, rest in Your grace and are renewed by Your greatness
and then...we march until You say stop

So, we are running hard in painful pursuit.  Chasing You, wanting more of You.  Looking for the joy in the pain.  Falling down.  Finding You where we land.  You were there all the time!  I have realized I will never catch You because the pursuit is what brings You glory.

In our arms of prayer we run to you with Briley Faith.  Give her the strength to breathe 100% on her own.  Any disorder man may say, we wait on orders from You, our God!  We lay her at Your feet so her precious little hands touch the hem of Your garment receiving Your healing power!  Briley Faith reflects Your glory.  Briley Faith is in Your hands. 

Josh and Crystal are running so fast Lord that their breaths are few and their strength has been depleted.  We know they are not crushed, driven to despair, not forsaken and not destroyed because You are their salvation!  You are their song!  In this painful pursuit please bring them joy.

In Jesus' name in one accord our trust is in You.  AMEN!

DAY 11 - MARCH UNTIL!

The words ring in my ears as my grandson, Briley's big brother, Jude sings.  The march he does in motion to the song is a vision of determination.  Over and over it plays in my mind...

I'm In the Lord's Army
I may never march in the infantry
Ride in the cavalry
Shoot the artillery
I may never fly o'er the enemy
But I'm in the Lord's army!

Joshua 6:15-16
On the seventh day they rose early, at the dawn of day, and marched around the city in the same manner seven times. It was only on that day that they marched around the city seven times.   And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “SHOUT FOR THE LORD HAS GIVEN YOU THE CITY."

The story of Joshua and the city of Jericho is a reminder of the holiness of God, the power of God and the reality that NO OBSTACLE is too big to stand in the way when God is at work!

Genesis 22:13-14

And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and BEHOLD (suddenly!), behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son.  So Abraham called the name of that place, “THE LORD WILL PROVIDE”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

No questions asked.  Three agonizing days Abraham traveled to reach the place where God appointed for his son, Isaac, to be sacrificed.  As Abraham marched/walked he displayed only faith.  He even tells his servants that he AND Isaac will return after the sacrifice is made.  He sees a happy ending through the eyes of faith.

Heavenly Father,

Forgive me.  Forgive me of all, forgive me.  Sins I can't remember, reveal to me.  Forgive me.  Forgive me from every pause of doubt and every glimpse of fear.  That is not of You, so please forgive me.  Forgive me so the prayers I lay at Your feet will be heard.  I come to You through Your son's blood.  Please forgive me. 

You are all powerful, all knowing, all-everything!  We give You praise!  Let any word that I speak only be praise or reflect Your glory! 

We know there is nothing too great for You because You are GREATER!  So Father, we ask You to breathe in Briley, open her lungs, balance her breathing with consistency!  Because we know You are THE PROVIDER, JEHOVAH JIREH, we ask You to provide the doctors and nurses caring for Briley wisdom in knowing and understanding each step toward her complete recovery!  We ask You to bring her blood pressure down and keep it stable!  We ask You to give her the comfort only You can give!  As our little soldier marches, with each step of each day let there be no more pain and no more tears to whelp up in her beautiful eyes.  We know You will provide the way. 

We'll march until the walls come down

We'll march until You provide a lamb

We'll march in faith to the promised land

Because You are the Great I Am!

May we all see through the eyes of Briley Faith, our little soldier of perseverance and strength.  It is through our faith You will take us to a happy ending.  Our promised land.

I'm in the Lord's army!  Yes sir!

In Your holy name I pray, AMEN!

DAY 10 - REFLECT, REST & RENEW!

Isaiah 53:4-5

 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.  But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed.

Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Isaiah 40:31

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Heavenly Father,

I come to You with thanksgiving!  Praising You that on that day at Calvary You gave Your only Son as a sacrifice for my sins!  That precious blood of Jesus for someone such as I!  I can't imagine giving up my son or daughter for anyone, especially those who may treat me bad....but, You did.  What grace, what love!  So, I reflect on that sacrifice today because I know You did that because You knew we would have days like these.  You knew there is no hope in the world...only hope is YOU!  You knew we would cry, You knew we would worry, You knew we would want to give up on life.  That is why we now have the choice to have life through You! 

Also, reflecting on that day of great sacrifice, I know that You would not have given up Your son up to give up on us!  I know You would not have turned Your back on that wretched day to later turn Your back on us!  I know You knew Your son, Jesus Christ, would rise from the grave on the third day!  That is the hope!  Briley Faith may not be at where the doctors think she needs to be right now.  Her little body is going through pain and struggles.  But, because of Your sacrifice, we can rest in the hope that in Your perfect timing she will rise in victory for Your glory!

As Briley's body rests, we rest in You.  We will watch and wait because we know You are our God.  May Your name be proclaimed without one word!

While waiting on You to renew Briley's strength and body,  renew Josh's, Crystal's and Jude's strength, too!  Renew the doctors and nurses strength and minds!  Renew our strength! 

We are ready to run...we are ready to fly!

In Your holy name, AMEN!

DAY 9 - EXPECT A SUDDENLY!

Mark 9:8

And SUDDENLY, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but JESUS ONLY.

The above verse is referring to the disciples witnessing God's miracle of transformation.  What began on that mountain thousands of years ago continues today in each believer!  "...we are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another."

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your amazing grace that covers us all!  No matter where we have been or what we have done, You said as far as the east is to the west Your blood covers it all!  I come to You asking forgiveness as I approach your throne.

Together we have been faithful in seeking and asking.  Now we are expecting a SUDDENLY!  You, our God, SUDDENLY parted the Red Sea!   You, our God, SUDDENLY fed thousands with only 5 loaves and 2 fish!  You, our God, SUDDENLY calmed the raging sea!  You, our God, SUDDENLY caused the lame to walk and the blind to see!  So God, we are waiting expectantly for a SUDDENLY for Briley Faith!

We expect You will SUDDENLY give Briley the ability to swallow and gag as You have designed!  We expect You will SUDDENLY heal her lungs!  We expect You will SUDDENLY cause her secretions to decrease!  We expect You will SUDDENLY heal her of all infection!  We expect You will SUDDENLY increase her muscle tone!  We expect You will SUDDENLY perform a complete healing!

Then SUDDENLY all the doctors, all the nurses, all the onlookers will see only YOU!  Let Your glory reign!

Through Jesus we come and shout AMEN!

DAY 8 - RECEIVE!

Matthew 7:7-11

Ask, and It Will Be Given!

 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks RECEIVES, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.  Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?  Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?  If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, HOW MUCH MORE WILL YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN GIVE GOOD THINGS TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM!


Heavenly Father,

Oh how precious is the blood that makes me white as snow!  I come to You asking forgiveness of all my sins.  Thank You that Your grace is sufficient for all of us!

For 7 days now I have followed through with Your spirit leading me to learn about healing and how to pray for it for our precious Briley.   Many others have stood with us in one accord.  We have seen Your power and mercy so many times and we are so gracious for it! 

We have praised You, we have believed, we have stood on Your word, we have given thanks, we chose not to fear, we lifted our voices singing praises to You, and we have testified to Your goodness!  Today is day 8 and we are READY TO RECEIVE!

We have asked all this on behalf of our little angel Briley Faith.  She has been such a fighter and so have Josh, Crystal and even Jude through all of this.  Thank You, Father for giving them what they need.  You alone is all we ever need! 

So, this day and to come, WE KNOW, as Your word says, Briley's HEALING SHALL SPRING UP SPEEDILY BECAUSE YOU ARE THERE!

Praise You, Praise You!  All glory to You! 

In the sweet name of Jesus I pray, AMEN!

DAY 7 - TESTIFY!

Isaiah 58:7-11

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?  Then shall your light break forth like the dawn, and YOUR HEALING SHALL SPRING UP SPEEDILY; your righteousness shall go before you; the GLORY OF THE Lord shall be your rear guard.  Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and he will say, ‘HERE I AM.’ If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.  And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

 

Heavenly Father,

I enter first asking forgiveness for all my sins!  Thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers all!

You are greater than our greatest fear!  When we are weak,You make us strong!  Thank You!  We lift our hands in praise to You!

When we were under financial stress You told me to feed the poor.  We did.  Your waters did not fail.  I never thought before today, that is part of the healing process; to do for others.

Father, it has been such a blessing to see Josh and Crystal not only give You the glory and praising You through the pain, but, to be witnessing, praying with and comforting others who also have sick children in the hospital.  Your light IS shining and WE BELIEVE it will break through the darkness!  Your healing IS springing forth for Briley because of Your promise!  You said right here in Your word that if we testify to Your name a healing is on the way!  Oh Lord, please bless Josh and Crystal's efforts in serving You!

DAY 6 - SING!

Proverbs 17:22

 A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

 

Heavenly Father,

I am joyful because You sent Your son, Jesus Christ, to die for us all!  So, I ask forgiveness of all my sin.  Cleanse me.  I now approach your throne with my request today.

God of all creation!  King of kings and LORD of lords!  You are above all!  Because You are above all, I BELIEVE in You!  I believe in Your plan!  Your word says Your plan is to prosper and not to harm.  I believe PROSPERITY will come!  Prosperity in healing for Briley!  Prosperity in providing for her medical expenses and all other financial needs they have!

As we step into the day, we step in with a joyful heart knowing You will heal Briley from this pneumonia that has attacked her little body!  We sing with a joyful heart because our hope is in Your hands!  We sing so others will see Your glory!

I sing because I'm happy!  I sing because I'm free!  His eye is on the sparrow and I know He's watching over Briley!

I choose to sing!

In the name of Jesus, Amen!

 

DAY 5 - FEAR NOT

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

 

Heavenly Father,

Before any request I make reveal to me any sins I need to ask forgiveness for.  I do not want to block any requests with unforgiveness.  Thank You for giving me the gift of salvation through the sacrificial blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse me of all sin.  So, please forgive me.

As I write, Father You knew I would need to pray this prayer right now.  You knew we all need to pray specifically right now.  That is why I did not have a chance to blog this morning.  You knew it would be on fear at this moment.  Father, we all have felt fear with each "set back" but at the same time a greater presence of peace!  Take away our fear each time we get a report of our precious Briley struggling.

So, Father, we want to first thank You that You are Almighty!  That You are King of Kings!  That You are the GREAT PHYSICIAN!  We believe in one accord that with your healing power, right now, You will take away the infection the doctors say Briley has now.  We believe You will give her all the oxygen and strength she needs to breathe on her own!  You designed her heart and we believe You will fix it!  We believe You will direct the doctors, nurses and all those involved in the care of Briley to a place of Your perfection! 

We stand on Your word to not fear because You have this covered! 

Put Your hedge of protection around Briley Faith from any infections, diseases, bacterias and anything that could harm her.

Through YOUR SON'S blood we come.  Amen.

DAY 4 - GIVE THANKS

2 Corinthians 4:15
"For it is ALL for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God."

1 Thess. 5:18
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."

Heavenly Father,
We praise You for who You are and what You can do! Today we reflect on where You have brought us all from with thanksgiving in our hearts! Once again, we lift Briley up to You in boldness and bow in thankfulness for what You have already done and what
You are going to do today! We thank You for the wisdom, knowledge and understanding You are giving the doctors in directing the next step. We give our hearts to You. In thankfulness we trust Your heart. In Jesus' precious name we pray, Amen!

DAY 3 – STAND!

Proverbs 4:20-23

My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 

Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.

For they are life to those who find them, and HEALING to all their flesh.

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.

Isaiah 55:9-11

 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.   “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; IT SHALL NOT RETURN TO ME EMPTY, but IT SHALL ACCOMPLISH THAT WHICH I PURPOSE, and SHALL SUCCEED in the thing for which I sent it.

Heavenly Father,

All praise and glory to You for all we have seen You do not only in Briley's life, but our OWN!  You are so faithful to accomplish in us what is best!  We glorify Your name to the ends of the earth!  We lift our hands in praise to You for giving Briley the breaths and strength she needed to come off the ventilator!  We know You will continue to breathe in her and keep her strong!  Thank You, thank You, thank You!  We PRAISE!

In one accord, because we have seen Your mighty power many times, we believe again today that not only that You can do mighty works, but we know You will!   You know every intricate detail about little Briley's body and we don't have to name each part that matters because You are the Creator!  So, we ask You and believe You will provide for Briley the ability to swallow and gag as you created her to do!  Give her strength in her muscles and everywhere else it is needed!  You sacrificed Your only son, Jesus Christ, because You knew we would have days like these.  His blood sacrificed!  So, Father, let that blood flow through Briley to give her every ounce of strength and more!  YOU move mountains!  Show us movement in Briley's muscles!  You said, Your power is made perfect in our weaknesses!  Briley is weak, show Your POWER!  We give You the glory!  We BELIEVE!

You said, Your word brings HEALING to all flesh!  You said, Your word WILL NOT return empty!  You said, Your word will ACCOMPLISH that which You have purposed and there will be SUCCESS!  We pray Your word penetrates the minds and hearts of the doctors, nurses and all those who are caring for Briley as You lead us to the promised land!  On Your word we STAND!

In Your Name We Pray,  AMEN!

DAY 2 - BELIEVE!

Mark 11:22-23

And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.  Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but BELIEVES that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

Heavenly Father,

You are worthy to be praised!  We give You all the glory!  You are a God of wonders!  We pray for physical strength and efficient breathing for Briley Faith.  We BELIEVE Your breath alone can fill her lungs and Your power will give her strength to breathe deeply!  We BELIEVE Your blood will flow through her muscles and we will see movement!  We BELIEVE the tears she cries will not only be seen, but, will be heard!  We BELIEVE in Your promises!  We BELIEVE in YOU!!!  Thank you in advance for promises revealed!  In Jesus' name we pray and receive! Amen!

DAY 1 - PRAISE!

I have been waking up anywhere between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. each morning since the day before our precious Briley Faith was born.  Each time when I awake I have been praying for health and healing.  This morning as I arose once again at 4 a.m. I prayed.  But, this time I could not go back to sleep.  The Lord pressed upon me to not only pray for Briley's healing, but, to really learn about His healing power.  He promised if I did, it was no big deal for Him to make sure I felt rested all day long.  So, I did.  Each day I will be sharing with you where He has led me so that not only can you pray the same for Briley, but to use also for yourself or others you may know.  Isn't it wonderful God is not limited!!!!  Salvation and healing for all!  Here is today's scripture which is also one of Jude's (Briley's big brother) favorite songs. 

Psalm 103:1-5

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me,

bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
